A book review:Zikora written by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Hello my dear readers , I am proud to announce that I will be reviewing every book that I would have read. All thanks to @heyanci

Author : Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Cover rating :4/5
Overall rating: 5/5
Publishing date: 27 October 2020

What I loved about the book The author managed to discuss about some issues that I can relate to.

Key take aways Labour pains are subjective and the pain can be unbearable too. It is important to educate our children about sex education. Asking for help does not make you weak or inferior to the next person. Being introduced to your boyfriend’s parents does not automatically make you their daughter-in-law😂.Communication is key in every relationship.

My question to you
If Zikora’s siblings was a girl, do you think the father would have moved out?

Favourite quote
“She wanted me to meet the rush of pain with mute grinding of teeth, to endure pain with pride, to embrace pain even. When I had severe cramps as a teenager she would say bear it that is what it means to be a woman …..” N.B Strong women, can admit that they are in pain, they need help and they should be able to express their feelings and emotions.
